looks awesome, i’m goint to try that, i’ll show the finished product later if i can!
@zsianz1 thanks i will try that
@whatsupme401 you should fade out the lure rather than holding it further away, say “crawl” AS your dog is crawling with the lure and do this over and over then try luring a little and then pulling your had away a little and saying “crawl”, if your dog continues to crawl even for a split second then click and treat. hope that is a little help. I also have a video on this if you search on my channel.
my dog knows how to crawl while i drag the treat in front of him but i cant get him to crawl when i get him to lay down and then place the treat a foot or 2 away from him. he just stands up again
great!
I love your dog!! She is soooo beautiful <3 Superb video:))
@zsianz1 Hi Holly, thank you for reply, yes I can see how the dog might not get the straight line if taught afterwards. I had a client who had a cattle dog and she did weaves forward and backwards. Because she was so fast she was circling after going through and then going through next leg movement. Owner looking straight ahead hadn’t noticed. Took a long time to train it out.
I think it helps if you train leg weaves and crawl first but it really doesn’t matter as you can train as you go, it MIGHT end up being tricky to get a straight crawl if you train this first though. sorry for the late reply!!
Wow great video!!!!
Hi Holly, excellent video, you explained very well.
I normally train crawl in a straight line then add the cue to crawl at side or between legs.
Would you think training crawl first would be advantageous for this exercise.
I have trained weaving whilst walking, and imagine you could extend what you have taught here to a crawling weave?
that was really brilliant! Holly is so fast! Had to fav!
Mabel is gorgeous. Great tutorial!
try using a fake treat for a start. make out like you are taking a treat and then lure your dog with this, then click and reveal that you don’t have a treat in your hand and then quickly reward with a treat from your other hand. then once your dog understands this you can make your hand movements more and more subtle until your dog doesn’t need them at all. also if your dog is getting good do start to add in your cue word also
hope that helps!
they are both females
is your dog a male or female?
wow, just tried to teach this he was good at the weaving how do you fade out the treat
Sian this is FANTASTIC!!! Oh my god look at how fast Holly is haha!! I’m training Samson this trick at the moment, this video has really helped! You make the best video’s sian!!
Lots of love

My goodness Holly, is she ever fast! :O My jaw actually dropped open!
Another wonderful tutorial Sian, I haven’t yet taught Sparky this so we will start it strait away.
Mabel is doing so well too, catching on fast!
And by the way, I thought you looked very beautiful when you were talking.
Hahahahah. I probably sound like a creeper. But just thought I’d say that. Because you are beautiful.
